What is a Blog?

A Blog is short for Web Log. It was initially used by the maintainer of the website as a way to keep a track of the changes that have been made to their website. Systems Administrators found that it was useful to have a chronological list of the content that is published on a website. It's an excellent way to keep a track of the changes so the client has a perfect record of what went on.

Lately however, Blogs have quickly become a way to share information such as commentary and opinions in a chronological fashion. In fact, Blogs are more commonly used for information sharing now.

The word 'Blog' is also used as a verb. It refers to adding entries to the Blog by the maintainer - as in, "No I can't go to school today, I have to Blog".
